1. Your picture
You keep every right you already held in the picture you upload. Uploading it gives us no ownership and no continuing licence. We use it for one thing — building your sheet — and then it is gone from our side, because we never store it in the first place.
We do not use your pictures, or anything generated from them, to train any model. This is not a setting you have to find and switch off; it is simply not something we do.
2. What you receive
Each run produces three things:
- the numbered outline — closed areas, each carrying a colour number;
- the colour key — swatches, names, approximate mixing ratios, area shares and rough volumes;
- the painted reference — the picture in the colours of the key.
We claim no ownership over any of them. You may print them, paint them, hang the result, give it away, and keep the files for as long as you like — including after you cancel.
3. What you may do with them
3.1 Free plan
Results are for personal, non-commercial use. Paint them, print them, frame them, give a painting to a friend. Do not sell the sheet or the painting made from it, and do not use it in a commercial product or a paid service. Free-plan output carries a watermark, and removing it is not permitted.
3.2 Primer
Watermark-free output for personal use, including gifts. Commercial use is not included on this plan.
3.3 Brushwork and Masterkit
Commercial use is included. You may sell paintings made from your sheets, sell the printed sheets themselves, use them in a workshop or a class you charge for, and use them in your own products — provided you held the rights to the picture you uploaded and the use does not breach the acceptable use policy.
What commercial use does not include: reselling access to Paintoku itself, offering a generation service built on top of it, or presenting our output as the product of your own generator.
4. What you must not remove
Files we produce carry an AI-generated marker in their metadata, and the PDF prints a disclosure line at the foot of every page. Do not strip either of them. If you sell or publish something made here, the fact that AI assisted in producing it must remain discoverable. The AI disclosure explains exactly what is written and where.
5. What you promise us
By uploading a picture you confirm that:
- you own it or hold the rights needed to use it in this way;
- any identifiable person in it has agreed to it being used, and any photograph of a child is being uploaded by an adult who holds the rights to it;
- it is not an excluded category under the acceptable use policy;
- your use of the result will not infringe anyone else’s rights.
If a claim is brought against us because these promises were not true, you agree to cover the reasonable cost of dealing with it.
6. Similar results
The pipeline is deterministic: the same picture with the same settings produces the same sheet. Two people who upload similar pictures may therefore receive similar outlines. Our licence to you is non-exclusive in that sense — you own what you make with your picture, not the technique that produced it.
7. Our own material
The site itself — its code, its wording, its design, the example paintings in the gallery and the Paintoku name and mark — remains ours. You may not reuse it beyond what normal use of the site requires.
8. Removing something
If you believe something produced here infringes your rights, write to support@catarinaribeiro.shop with the details and how to reach you. Because we keep no copies of generated sheets there is rarely anything on our side to take down, but we answer every notice within 2 business days and act on it.
