Everything people ask before and after they subscribe

Three things: a numbered outline sheet, a colour key listing every number with a plain-language name and an approximate two-pigment mixing ratio, and a painted reference image showing the finished picture. On paid plans you also get a print-ready PDF at the size you selected.

No. The names and ratios are approximate guidance generated by our own code from the colours found in your picture. They are deliberately brand-neutral and do not correspond to the colour codes of any paint manufacturer. Mix by eye and treat the ratios as a starting point.

Usually between 60 and 250, depending on the picture, the colour count and the size. Areas too small to hold a readable number are merged into whichever neighbour they share the longest border with, so you never get a region you cannot physically paint.

Because the number of areas follows the picture, not the setting. A calm landscape at 12 colours might produce 40 areas; a close-up of fur at 36 colours can produce several hundred. The colour count controls how many distinct paints you mix, not how many areas you fill.

Yes. The 40 × 50 cm output on the top plan is a vector PDF, so a print shop can scale it onto canvas without the outlines going soft. The A4 and A3 outputs are intended for ordinary paper or card.

Only on the free plan. Every paid plan produces clean files with no watermark.

Paid plans are monthly subscriptions in US dollars. The price and the billing period are shown before you confirm, and the plan renews automatically on the same day each month until you cancel. We send an email receipt for every charge, and each one includes a link to cancel.

No. Each month starts fresh at the number stated on your plan, and anything unused that month does not carry forward.

Online, from the Manage subscription page, in the same number of steps it took to start. Cancelling stops the next renewal; your plan keeps working until the end of the month you have already paid for. You can also email us and we will cancel it for you.

You keep the plan and its remaining sheets until the end of the period you have already paid for. We do not take another payment after that.

Yes, under the terms set out in the refund and cancellation policy. In short: if the service did not work for you, write to us within 14 days of the charge and describe what happened; if a technical fault on our side stopped you producing sheets, we refund that month.

Yes, at any time. Moving up takes effect immediately; moving down takes effect at the next renewal so you keep what you have already paid for.

Only pictures you own or otherwise have the right to use. You confirm this before each run. Please do not upload identity documents, receipts, certificates, contracts or medical paperwork, photographs of other people without their permission, or images whose purpose is to copy a trademark or imitate a living artist's personal style.

The clustering, numbering and PDF assembly all run inside your browser — that work never leaves your device. If you switch on the optional simplification step, that single step is sent to a picture model configured by the site operator and is not retained afterwards.

No. Your uploads are never used for training, ours or anyone else's.

Sheets are produced and handed straight to you; we do not keep a copy of your picture or your finished sheet. Account and billing records are kept for as long as the law requires us to keep them. The full detail is in the privacy policy.

On the Brushwork and Masterkit plans, yes — you may use what you produce commercially, including selling the painting or the printed sheet, provided you held the rights to the picture you uploaded. The free plan is for personal use only.

You keep every right you already had in the picture you uploaded, and we claim no ownership over the outline, key or reference we hand back. The content licence page sets out exactly what each side may do.

One step is. A picture model simplifies your photo into paintable shapes. Everything after that — colour clustering, merging small areas, outlines, numbers, the colour key, the volume estimates and the page layout — is ordinary code. Files we produce carry an AI-generated marker in their metadata, and the outline sheet states it in print.

Email us with the settings you used and what you expected. Most odd results come from very dark, very noisy or very low-resolution originals, and usually a different colour count fixes them. If it is a fault at our end we will say so and refund the month.
