1. The one rule everything else follows from
Upload only pictures you own or otherwise have the right to use. You confirm this before every run. If you would not be comfortable showing the original to the person or the business in it, do not upload it.
2. Documents and records
We do not process, and you may not upload:
- passports, identity cards, driving licences or any other identity document;
- tickets, boarding passes, receipts, invoices or proofs of payment;
- certificates, diplomas, licences or official registrations;
- contracts, legal filings or signed instruments;
- medical records, prescriptions, scans or any clinical imagery.
These are excluded whatever your intention. A paint-by-numbers generator has no legitimate use for them, and a plausible-looking picture of one carries obvious risk.
3. Other people
- No face swapping, and no putting one person’s face onto another person’s body or into another scene.
- Portraits of other people may only be uploaded with their permission. Photographs of children may only be uploaded by an adult who holds the rights to them.
- No pictures of public figures presented as though they had endorsed, used or appeared in something.
- No intimate imagery of anyone, with or without their consent, and nothing sexualising a minor under any circumstances. Suspected child sexual abuse material is reported to the relevant authorities.
4. Brands, trademarks and other people’s work
- No reproductions of real trademarks, logos or brand identities.
- No packaging, labels or product imagery made to look as though it came from a company that did not make it.
- No imitation of the personal style of a living artist, and no prompts naming one. The ten presets on this site describe techniques — impasto, gouache, flat screen-print — not people.
- No copyrighted artwork, photography or film stills that you do not have the right to use.
5. Harm, hate and deception
- Nothing promoting or celebrating violence, terrorism, self-harm, or a hate ideology, and no hate symbols.
- Nothing intended to harass, threaten, humiliate or stalk a particular person.
- Nothing designed to deceive — fake evidence, fabricated news imagery, or anything presented as a record of an event that did not happen.
- Nothing unlawful where you are, or where the service is operated from.
6. Using the service itself
- Do not attempt to bypass plan limits, the watermark, the rights confirmation or any other control.
- Do not automate the site, scrape it, or resell access to it as though it were your own service.
- Do not probe, overload or interfere with the infrastructure.
- Do not remove the AI-generated markers we write into the files.
- Do not present a generated sheet as a hand-drawn original, or as the work of someone who did not make it.
7. What happens if this policy is breached
Depending on what happened, we may refuse the request, stop a run, remove access to a feature, suspend or end the account, refuse a refund for the period concerned, or — where a serious offence appears to have been committed — report it. We will tell you which, and why, unless the law prevents us.
8. Telling us about a problem
If you believe something produced with Paintoku breaches this policy — including a picture of you used without permission — write to support@catarinaribeiro.shop with as much detail as you can. We answer within 2 business days and act quickly on anything involving a real person.
9. Related policies
This policy sits alongside the terms of service, the content licence and the AI disclosure. Where a payment provider’s own acceptable use rules apply to transactions on this site, those rules apply in addition to this policy and nothing here overrides them.
